Set up took 15 minutes with firmware. Speed doubled with WiFi maxing out at 610. (800s on my Mac connected via Ethernet. I guess my iPhone grabs the 6Ghz band when I’m upstairs. If I want more speed the modem is next but speed is fine now. Deco axe4900 (xe70 pro) 99 bucks amazon.

Okay ordered the Tp-Link Deco xe70 pro single unit. Dont need mesh in my house (at least not with my Orbi RBR20. It’s WiFi 6e tri band and has a 2.5 gb Wan port. I will fiddle with its settings since the 6 GHz band is normally set as the backhaul for multi node setups. My iPhones will use that...

I’m not fiddling with settings. Plug in connect and go. Keep it simple.
