She’s an author of “Beyond the Stethoscope: Miracles in Medicine,” which is touted as offering stories of miraculous recoveries, experiences in the ER, and global medical missions that illuminate the transformative power of prayer and unwavering dedication to healing and service, according to a description of the book by its publisher.
She initially championed the Covid vaccines, calling them “a gift from God” in a Fox News opinion piece in February 2021. She urged everyone to wear a mask. “Even consider wearing two masks at the same time,” she wrote.
But by late 2022, she had started voicing opposition to including Covid vaccines on the childhood vaccine schedule, as a Centers for Disease Control and Prevention advisory committee had just recommended.

President-elect Donald Trump announced Friday that he had picked Dr. Janette Nesheiwat, a Fox News medical contributor, to serve as the U.S. Surgeon General.

“Dr. Nesheiwat is a fierce advocate and strong communicator for preventive medicine and public health,” Trump said in a statement. “She is committed to ensuring that Americans have access to affordable, quality healthcare, and believes in empowering individuals to take charge of their health to live longer, healthier lives."

Trump announced the Nesheiwat pick on a whirlwind night of rapid-fire nominations that also included Scott Bessent as Treasury secretary; Rep. Lori Chavez-DeRemer, R-Ore., as Labor secretary; Russ Vought as director of Office and Budget Management; Scott Turner as secretary of Department of Housing and Urban Development; Marty Makary as Food and Drug Administration commissioner; and Dave Weldon director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

A graduate of the University of South Florida, Nesheiwat completed her medical residency at University of Arkansas Medical Center in Fayetteville and completed ER rotations with Johns Hopkins University.

Nesheiwat currently serves as a Medical Director at CityMD, a network of urgent care centers in New York and New Jersey. Previously, she served as a physician at Washington Regional Medical Center and at Northwest Medical Hospital.

As a medical news correspondent, Nesheiwat hosted an educational medical television show entitled Family Health Today as well as Health Minute with Dr. Janette on KNWA-TV, an NBC affiliate in Northwest Arkansas, according to her bio listed on Fox News website. Fox News representatives said that effective Friday, she will be leaving her position with Fox.

Nesheiwat provided on-the-ground medical treatment to Americans in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina and the Joplin tornadoes, according to the statement from Trump.

Part of me hopes this administration fails beyond our worst nightmare and ends the MAGA movement once and for all. But that drags those of us who didn't vote for this clown show down with them.

I know the feeling, it's almost instinctive at his point, feeling like just holding onto anything you can to ride it out, but hoping - knowing this circus is going to be an utter disaster and praying these stupid MAGA Cultists wake the hell up, open their eyes and realize wtf they've done.
I presume many will start looking for razor blades and/or a length of rope.
