Bills quarterback Josh Allen was named the AFC Offensive Player of the Week on Wednesday for the 17th time in his career. Allen recorded just the second game in the Super Bowl era of a player having at least three rushing and three passing touchdowns in the same game during Sunday’s 44-32 victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday at Highmark Stadium. He was also the first player to do it, less than a year ago on Dec. 8, 2024 against the Los Angeles Rams.
Allen also tied Cam Newton for the most rushing touchdowns (75) by a quarterback in NFL history in the regular season, as well as recording his 11th career game with at least three passing touchdowns and one rushing touchdown, surpassing Tom Brady for the most such games in NFL history (including the postseason).
Finally, Allen reached 290 career touchdowns, surpassing Peyton Manning (288) for the most in NFL history by a player before reaching 30 years of age.
