Nickel cornerback Taron Johnson (forearm) and defensive end Dawuane Smoot (toe) were officially ruled out for Thursday's game against the Miami Dolphins, as coach Sean McDermott indicated earlier in the week that they would be.

Additionally, rookie defensive end Javon Solomon was listed as doubtful with an oblique injury that kept him out of Week 1. Solomon practiced on a limited basis throughout the week.

Running back Ty Johnson was upgraded to a full participant at Wednesday’s practice and was removed from the team’s injury report. Johnson was listed as a limited participant both Monday and Tuesday because of a knee injury suffered in the Week 1 win over the Arizona Cardinals. Quarterbacks Josh Allen (left hand) and Mitchell Trubisky (knee) were full participants all week and were not listed on the team’s final injury report. Tight end Quintin Morris (shoulder) was also removed from the final report after practicing fully all week.

As for the Dolphins, running back Raheem Mostert (chest) is out for Thursday's game, and running back De'Von Achane (ankle) will be a game-time decision, coach Mike McDaniel told reporters in South Florida on Wednesday.

Achane led Miami running backs with 100 yards from scrimmage on 17 touches in the Dolphins' season-opening 20-17 win over Jacksonville.

Bills defensive end Greg Rousseau was named the AFC Defensive Player of the Week on Wednesday. It is the second time in his career that Rousseau has won the honor, with the first coming in 2021 after a Week 5 win against Kansas City.

Rousseau, 24, had three sacks, a forced fumble and six tackles in the 34-28 victory over the Cardinals in Week 1. His three sacks tied Ben Williams in 1983 for the most by a member of the Bills in a season opener.
