Buffalo Bills sign receiver Brandin Cooks to active roster
New Buffalo Bills wide receiver Brandin Cooks has six 1,000-yard receiving seasons in his career, and is one of only two players in league history to do that with four different teams.
The Buffalo Bills continue to search high and low for help at wide receiver.
The latest example came Tuesday, when the team announced they signed 12-year veteran Brandin Cooks to the active roster.

A 5-foot-10, 190-pounder, Cooks, 32, has played for five different NFL teams since being chosen in the first round of the 2014 NFL draft by the New Orleans Saints.
Cooks has also spent time with the Patriots, Rams, Texans and Cowboys. He returned at the start of this season to New Orleans. He has appeared in 168 career games in the regular season and has career totals of 729 receptions, 9,697 yards and 60 touchdowns. He has also rushed 58 times for 341 yards and two touchdowns.
Cooks has six 1,000-yard receiving seasons in his career, and is one of only two players in league history to do that with four different teams, joining Brandon Marshall.
His best season came in 2018, when he had 1,204 receiving yards on 80 catches, helping the Rams to a 13-3 record in the regular season and an appearance in Super Bowl LIII. Cooks has played in two Super Bowls, also making it in 2017 with the Patriots.
Cooks played in 10 games this season with the Saints, recording 19 catches on 25 targets for 165 yards. He asked for and was granted his release last week, then went unclaimed on waivers.
Known as a receiver who can stretch the field, Cooks' career average is 13.3 yards per catch. He joins Khalil Shakir, Keon Coleman, Curtis Samuel, Elijah Moore, Joshua Palmer and Tyrell Shavers as receivers on the Bills' active roster.
The team also has Gabe Davis on the practice squad and has called him up to the active roster twice.
Receiver/returner Mecole Hardman is on injured reserve with a calf injury suffered in Week 11 against Tampa Bay.
