is Donald Trump laying off and/or firing 30,000 people going to be good for the Kansas City Economy? I mean these are people who are home owners, have cars, are very middle class, contribute to the local economy, go to local restaurants and stores, buy gas, etc. How will 30,000 middle income people now out of work help Kansas City? Now lets look at the other areas of the country. How do the sizeable work forces in Atlanta, Philly, New York, Chicago, Austin, LA etc being put out of work help the economy there? Also, Kansas CIty has a very large IRS and very large Social Security work force. DHS is also here. So please, enlighten me because I don't know, how does senselessly terminating people right before tax season help me get my refund? How does cutting back social security offices help the elderly get their money on time? How does cutting back DHS make us safer? We saw in Washington DC that fewer air trafffic controllers don't help make the skies safer. So please how does laying off hundreds of thousands (maybe over a million) middle class people help the economy?

All magician misdirection and smoke to disguise what he does care about -- giving the Rich another huge tax break on the backs of the lower classes who will pay for it by paying higher prices due to his tariffs and increased personal costs due to his program cuts.

The MAGA answer to this question is that they can find private sector jobs, as if those jobs exist or are available but the idiot wants to cut 1.5 MILLION federal workers. Add that to the unemployment numbers
 
A lot of tax returns are done electronically and I would assume the processing is also done electronically. Not wishing people to be fired but there might be a fraction of them that are legacy and now redundant

My response has been nothing to do with my retirement. Prior to my exit, our department had more work than ever but less dosimetrists to handle it because of tech improvements… should those jobs have remained filled?

All this Elon running the show and being n control of the puppet orange is gonna wear thin real quick. Trump wants credit and control. If Elon is getting all the press… bye bye Elon.

So lets see, I sent off for a passport renewal a few weeks ago, because of 9/11 horse shit I can't drive to Canada with just a license and nor can I do that to Mexico. Also, I am thinking of doing a Naughty Nations tour in coming years, China, Russia, Vietnam, Pakistsn, India, South Africa, Venezuela, Serbia, Cuba, etc I would have listed North Korea but they do tend to arrest foreigners even if the foreigner has decent intentions and its already in the mail.

I filed my income tax return and I got my refund in less than 2 weeks. I bought food at the grocery store and did not get sick because of it. I drank water out of the tap and while Kansas City water is nasty its also safe to drink. Mom went to get her medication at the pharmacy and wasn't poisoned.

Although it hasn't been a good start for airliner safety, there have still been very few plane crashes. Russia and China don't even dream about attacking us because as much as I hate their regime change campaigns abroad and their spying on we the people at home we have a very good idea of what they are up to and its very unlikely that they will try anything. I can send a letter across the country for less than a dollar and 6 days a week a government agent visits my house and gives me letters and packages.

We have an extensive network of paved interstate highways which means you can drive across the country in less than 5 days.

So when you say government workers are useless, I say have you imagined what the alternative would look like?
 
Tomorrow is Black Wednesday in Kansas City. Per a friend at Social Security and per a friend at Treasury, 10,000+ people are going to get fired tomorrow. Good luck getting those taxes, amended returns, social security retirement paper work, etc processed. Oh and you might want to consider a mostly vegan diet (I can't see how cuts to meat and dairy inspectors are gonna help you) and I wouldn't fly anytime soon.
