This is not the greatest country in the world by a long shot. In fact, it is one of the worst and most corrupt places in the world.
1.) America has the highest number of incarcerated people per capita in the world. Woohoo we number one baby!
2.) Highest wealth inequality out of every other developed nation in the world!
3.) One of the last developed nations to not have universal healthcare. In America many families go bankrupt from a single unexpected medical event.
4.) American teachers are some of the lowest compensated out of all developed nations.
5.) We spend more on our military than the next 9 highest spending nations combined.
6.) America has been at war more that 3/4 (75%) since its inception.
7.) Very high gun violence rate compared to other developed nations.
8.) Zero high speed rail and very outdated public transportation.
9.) Highly racist sentiment.
10.) Distrust and contempt for intellectualism.
11.) Most Americans live paycheck to paycheck paying more than 50% on their monthly salary to rent.
12.) Affordable housing is a thing of the past. In every single state a minimum wage job working 40 hours a week will not afford the average cost of a 1 bedroom apartment.
13.) We have an obesity epidemic because Americans are overworked and underpaid without the time, energy, or funds required in order to exercise and cook healthy meals.
14.) Insanely overpriced college tuition has made the possibility of climbing out of poverty near unachievable. Those that do make it through college have nearly lifetime debt with large interest rates.
15.) America is one of the top producers of C02, and a major contributor to climate change
16.) America is one of the leading nations for white collar financial crime where the convicted often just pays fines and never faces jail time. The rich are above rule of law here.
17.) Our students test scores decline year after year because our education system is so underfunded.
18.) Founded on genocide of native people, the American global empire of evil attempts relentlessly to control the planet for its own benefit.
I can add more and continue this list all day. The entire idea of American exceptionalism is a myth of the largest proportions. There is nothing great about this country and there never was. The American dream is just a fantasy. In reality it is more of a nightmare. I have no idea why the perception this country is great still persists.
Please anyone reading this and still considering coming to the USA. I am not trying to tell you not to come because I am afraid of immigration. I am just telling the truth the best I know how to.

If money does not completely consume your soul, then you can find much more happiness somewhere with a better and more comprehensive spread of values and virtues to live by.

A country that should righteously be walled off completely from the rest of the world and left to stew in its own vile ways as to not spread and infect the goodness of the rest of the planet.
