If you want to understand the world around you, you have to read the scripts. Yes, hate to tell you but our reality is scripted by the powerful. Two of our most decisive and destructive policy making think tanks are the Rand Corporation and Brookings Institute. For your education and information, I am going to drop two scripts you need to read. Wanna know why we provoked the whole Russia Ukraine mess? Read the script. Rand corporation wrote the script for that shit show in 2019 and gave it the title Extending Russia

So when you understand the script, you understand why things look the way they do. "But Hero, isn't this a bit conspiratorial?" Nope. this is called using primary sources to piece together how we got to where we are now. When the primary sources spell out verbatim why things are the way they are its just pointing out reality.
