There used to be one on Genesee st. near Transit. Every year they sent me a birthday postcard good for 1 dog, a fry, and a root beer. They are still around but just not in WNY anymore.

I remember using the catalog when I was older but when I was a kid I used to take out 3 or 4 books a week. I didn't need it then because I knew which areas to just go looking.

I was the same way. I got on a UFO kick in 7th grade and read ev ery book the library at Heim Middle had - which was quite a it about UFO's, Dr. J Allen Hynek, Incident at Exeter, etc

Speaking of UFO, Michael Schenker will be on tour right around the time regular season Bills games start, a lot of places in the NE.

I never had one of these but the kid who lived behind us on the next street did. They were a blast but the wheels wore out rather quickly. Hollow hard plastic wheels and once they were overly worn the toy was just a piece of junk. Good for one summer I would say.
