Starbucks love it or hate it?

I will say I am a black coffee drinker so I am not into those fancy drinks. I drink 2-3 20oz drinks a day. I will say I can't stand Starbucks. IMO it's awful tasting and way over priced. I actually prefer a particular Wegmans coffee and I just use the pods. Dunkin and McDonald's are my go to when out and about. I just can't justify the cost of Starbucks and yet people just pay for it every day and then turn around and say they don't have any money. Maybe I am just becoming an old guy now that I am in my early 40's. My daughter and her friends who are 15-16 years old love Starbucks and it pisses me off! Lol I refuse to buy if for her only as a once in awhile treat. Maybe I am just an asshole. Lol Curious to see others thoughts.

I have tested coffee brands for a whole. Both in cups now whole bean with a conical grinder… Caribou coffee is by far the smoothest. Black or done up. Mug or espresso grind…so h as silk.

It comes in ground as well. I stopped hunting about six Months ago. (Caribou Blend BTW)

As far as out and about McD is good as is Dunkin. Starbucks tastes acidic and burnt

You are not messing around.. I like it! I have had Caribou and it is very good. I guess I am just cheap buying my Wegmans brand coffee lol. I had another coffee up in the St.Paul Min airport that was fantastic. If I go back up there this year I plan to buy a few bags. I was down in DC with the family over Christmas break and stopped at a local coffee shop and had a fantastic cup. I need to find out the name for next time. I enjoy sitting in the local coffee joints. I am headed to Boston next week for work so I plan to hit up a few local shops when I am there.

Small places are fun. I like the places that gravity pour. Grinding your own is the freshest experience. So now I have a keurig Supreme up in a cabinet… I do drip now.

I also use reverse osmosis water in my house so I never need to descale.

Conical grinder 60 bucks. I add a pinch of Celtic Sea Salt to add some minerals back in. If you have never tried a dash of salt in coffee… try it. 1 shake or pinch… it’s awesome

We are opening our first in our cities metro.

Actually I think it opened last year. I think maybe more are opening.
I’ve seen them at airport terminals so now I will look for them. I currently by whole bean Caribou Blend from Amazon. My vast search for coffee is over. People buy me coffee and I’m irritated.

Yep I believe I had it in the Minnesota St.Paul airport. Great coffee.
