There are times when I could buy the argument that Putin is paying Trump to destroy us

Okay, I will be the first to say the federal civil service needs to be overhauled. That said, I want competent people to make sure mom gets her Social Security check each month, that the IRS has competent people to get me my refund out in a timely fashion, that the State Department has people who will process my passport. I want my FAA people to man the air traffic control so my plane takes off and lands. I want USDA and FDA to make sure the food I cook for mom and myself is healthy and that mom's medications are safe. Trump's buy out program and turning the federal civil service does not help us. Cutting aid to our allies does not make us safer. Yes, we need to work to bring an end to the Ukraine war, but there needs to be no bones about it, we should not let Putin think that our desire for peace means that he will be able to roll in and subjugate our allies. Cutting aid to our allies only encourages Russian revaunchism. Peace yes, Ukrainian neutrality and outlawing Nazism with the understanding that if Russia takes so much as another inch its war? I'm down with that. Abandoning Ukraine? No. Cutting of disaster aid and humanitarian aid in the global south? That is not only barbarism but it denies us a lot in the means of soft power and weakens us abroad. Do I want to pull out of global empire? Sure. I am all for multipolarity in geopolitics, but when we reduce our footprint, I want to be surrounded by grateful friends who will remember our aid and not embittered and enraged parties who will ally with Russia and China.

By destroying our federal civil service, by cutting out or foreign aid and disaster relief programs, by shitting on our poorest and most vulnerable Trump destroys our country. It is frankly inexcusable:
