Eye-opening quote from Bills player makes Stefon Diggs trade look even better

Well this is definitely eye-catching...

Training camp for the Buffalo Bills is officially behind us and we will now turn our attention to the preseason. The Bills are set to host the Chicago Bears this Saturday in Orchard Park and it will be the “unofficial-official” start to the 2024 season. Preseason football doesn’t have an impact on teams in terms of standings or getting into the playoffs. Instead, it is the perfect time for players to prove their worth and earn a roster spot by the time Week 1 rolls around.

Throughout training camp, the Bills had their ups and downs in some aspects. However, there is one recent theme that has come out of training camp for Buffalo. That theme is "good vibes". It all started out with a statement by Josh Allen talking about Stefon Diggs and how while Diggs was a fantastic player, Allen noted that he doesn’t necessarily miss, according to Alex Brasky.

Allen would then later note that he is happy with how things are with the team and how everyone is working hard. So while he says that Diggs was reliable and has the talent, him saying that he wouldn’t say he “misses” him is definitely worth noting.

Kaiir Elam may have just double downed on Josh Allen's statement

Cornerback Kaiir Elam was asked about Allen’s statement about the vibes and how they are better overall with the team. According to a clip posted by Matthew Bove, Elam talked about how “it feels like everyone is more free” and that “everybody is not as tense”.

The only logical answer to this theme that is coming out from both Allen and Elam would be with the Stefon Diggs trade. The overall energy this year was not like this last year. Players didn’t seem this excited heading into the season last year. With Diggs being traded out of Buffalo, it looks like players are enjoying Bills football more than ever.

With Elam doubling down on Allen’s original comments, this shows that Brandon Beane must have made the right decision by sending Diggs to Houston. While the Bills are taking on a dead cap hit of over $30 million with the trade, Beane is showing that he values chemistry on the roster and it is being demonstrated through guys like Allen and Elam.
