Bill to avert a partial government shutdown passes on 54 to 46 votes after ten Democrats help bill clear key hurdle

I like to think that I can see where Chuck Schumer is coming from, but I can’t. This is where the Democrats have really pigeonholed themselves into a corner because it’s a no one situation.
If they vote against it or don’t vote for it, then the Republicans get to say it’s the Democrats fault that the government shut down, but the government should just shut down. And with all the pain and discomfort that comes from it, we have to let this Republican, corrupt government, destroy everything and touches so that the light finally goes on for the people who voted for this shit when they’re being thrown out of their homes and their retirement funds are gone, and they can’t afford anything.
And while there are no guarantees, maybe they need to feel the brunt of the pain they caused to ensure that this never happens again.
It’s terrible that people are going to die at the most extreme or lose everything and wish they could die and many of those will be the people that democratic policies are designed to help which these fucking Republicans are taking away.
And that includes people like me who know that Social Security will be the primary source of survival in the next 3 to 5 years when I hang up my tool belt for good knowing that it’s not going to be there and I’m basically fucked but if I have to be fucked to make sure my children get something better than I guess I’ll just have to be fucked along with everybody else
