McDermott Defense Mark IV

I would say this is the fourth defense that McDermott has assembled….and should be his last. Either because it wins him a Super Bowl or it gets rolled by the chiefs or Bungles and he gets fired. Simple as that.

I don’t know where the narrative of “McDermott finally gets his defense” is coming from. Are you kidding? Since day fucking one he’s been building defenses. And like I said I count this as the fourth incarnation!

How many more chances does he get!?

It’s a vicious cycle! If the players suck it’s because he and Beane are picking them and therefore are accountable! If it’s not the players then it’s the fucking coaching and hence should be held accountable!!!

And I know I know….if they suck this year we will hear “hey they’re young…they’ll learn from this” and he probably gets another year. But Jesus Christ man! Fuuuuck!

Agree 1000%. We can only roster so many guys. And like I’ve been saying…when’s the last time a team filled with a rookie defense won a Super Bowl? Most are going to be backups. Cool. Awesome. Depth doesn’t win fucking superbowls…talent does! This front office started going sideways the offseason after Allen’s rookie year. That’s when it occurred to me “oh shit…they really don’t give a fuck about the offense or their young qb do they?”

This draft is not as bad as you think it is. Secondary will be rounded into form. That is a huge check box. I'm less impressed with the D-line adds, but that was because I was personally bent on them getting Kenneth Grant who the Dolphins way overreached to take at #13. They say that Sanders, the guy they traded up to get, is a 3-tech. Isn't Oliver a 3-tech and we needed a 1-tech?

Like what has been pointed out. People look at Elam and crucify Beanzie when in fact the 2022 draft was almost as good as possible

Those are my thoughts as well.

The only home run pick to me is 1DT Walker assuming they use him as a 1DT.

I get the 1st round pick at CB. I don't like it however I get it.

Another undersized DT in the 2nd round when we are committed to Ed Oliver is illogical to me.

Drafting a pink DE in the 3rd round with Groot and Bosa already there makes NO sense either.

Either of those last two picks should have been a WR or OT.

Then drafting a 2nd and 3rd CB is just full retardation.

It fucking pisses me off how they are trying to sell this narrative.

Agreed that he'll get another pass after our 5th loss to the Chiefs. It'll be because "players are young and still learning, next year thye'll take the leap". Rinse and repeat until Allen is no longer elite.

These level of neglect and stupidity should be studied.
