Only saw him once, it was a couple of years before he passed. Others on the bill were Steve Miller,,, horrible, and Cheap Trick. He played all of his best tunes. He always had great musicians and back up ladies, second to none..
I love Pink Floyd but have never seen them live. My cutoff for them is the Animals lp, didn't care for much after that. Obscured by Clouds is my favorite but all of the earlier stuff is great except for Atom Heart Mother which is middle of the road in my opinion.I saw this tour at Yankee Stadium.
Fucking EPIC!
I have a folder (backed up in two places) with a digital remaster of everything Pink Floyd ever released, including 45s, B-sides, foreign releases, plus folder and album art. It's almost 40GB in size. I wish it were all original vinyl.I love Pink Floyd but have never seen them live. My cutoff for them is the Animals lp, didn't care for much after that. I still have an Obscured Lp in the shrink with a K-mart sticker on it, have another that I actually put on the table though.
I went through a SD phase…Aja is my favorite album of theirs. When I was young and just starting to get records (Zeppelin 4 was my first), my mom had somehow gotten a few form somewhere, I have no idea where, and gave them to me and one was the soundtrack to a movie that I never did see called FM.
I LOVED this album!
I felt the same way and it was his death that jarred my memory of this album. Denise and I are gonna stream the movie tonight so that after all these years, I'll finally see itI went through a SD phase…Aja is my favorite album of theirs.
Weird thing: a few days/weeks ago?, I heard Donald Fagen died, my wife told me. I felt bad, like you do when a piece of your past dies, but looking him up now, I see it was a hoax that I didn’t hear about. Kinda glad for him![]()
The Dan are in a separate category to me, basically flawless, but Gaucho was the end for me. I didn't care for the last two, it was a 20 year lapse and really they should have closed the door after Gaucho. But, I did see them for the Two Against Nature tour so I have that.I went through a SD phase…Aja is my favorite album of theirs.
