Music: Your current choice of a listen

Joe Cocker is one of my faves, never get tired of him…*

*spotify has a live version of this I like better, I think it was in Lourdes France..

He always had great musicians and back up ladies, second to none..

Only saw him once, it was a couple of years before he passed. Others on the bill were Steve Miller,,, horrible, and Cheap Trick. He played all of his best tunes.

I saw this tour at Yankee Stadium.
Fucking EPIC!
I love Pink Floyd but have never seen them live. My cutoff for them is the Animals lp, didn't care for much after that. Obscured by Clouds is my favorite but all of the earlier stuff is great except for Atom Heart Mother which is middle of the road in my opinion.

I still have an Obscured Lp in the shrink with a K-mart sticker on it, have another that I actually put on the table though.

I have a folder (backed up in two places) with a digital remaster of everything Pink Floyd ever released, including 45s, B-sides, foreign releases, plus folder and album art. It's almost 40GB in size. I wish it were all original vinyl.

When I was young and just starting to get records (Zeppelin 4 was my first), my mom had somehow gotten a few form somewhere, I have no idea where, and gave them to me and one was the soundtrack to a movie that I never did see called FM.
I LOVED this album!

I went through a SD phase…Aja is my favorite album of theirs.

Weird thing: a few days/weeks ago?, I heard Donald Fagen died, my wife told me. I felt bad, like you do when a piece of your past dies, but looking him up now, I see it was a hoax that I didn’t hear about. Kinda glad for him🤣

I felt the same way and it was his death that jarred my memory of this album. Denise and I are gonna stream the movie tonight so that after all these years, I'll finally see it

The Dan are in a separate category to me, basically flawless, but Gaucho was the end for me. I didn't care for the last two, it was a 20 year lapse and really they should have closed the door after Gaucho. But, I did see them for the Two Against Nature tour so I have that.

A long time ago I sold a CD copy of Live at the Record Plant for $120 something on eBay in the 90's, I think it was or was one of the last times they played live for decades. Never saw another one.

The 78 greatest hits is notable for "Here at the Western World", great song and the only place to find it. Reminds me of some Italian girl I was dating in Buffalo at the time.

I have a copy of this album from Japan but no opi, it has a couple more unreleased songs, I think they are in mono but haven't dug it out in years.

This might very well be the only song Becker/Fagan ever wrote that has some empathy to it.

Getting into mixes a lot recently.

Always liked songs redone in reggae style.

AND since I find myself really busy these days and NOT in front of my desktop with the Bose speakers and YouTube likes then decide what it wants to play rather than let me do it, I find extended mixes give me more time before the song ends.

The next three are that.
