What is he? Is he really good? Decent with flashes and big plays sporadically? Undersized? A really good 3rd option?
I seem to recall AJ having a really good game with batted down balls and a sack then become a ghost for 2 games but that could be my perception.
This year is a true test. AJ has 6 weeks to finally be a difference maker because the group gets Hoecht into the mix.
Greg Rousseau is pencilled in on the Left with AJ the second Left DE but he’s gotta be hearing footsteps of Solomon who has had a good camp. Hopefully he senses the pressure.
Bosa on right and he’s not playing every down. Hoecht is his 2 but not til week 7 so I suspect Landon Jackson to get some serious work.
Bills typically line up players all across the line like Groot lining up inside . Does AJ have a shot from the right to spell Bosa?
Once Hoecht comes back it will be interesting. He can line up in the interior as well as true Edge. So there is a lot in versatility to potentially confuse offenses.
I think top to bottom this group on the outside seems the deepest in a long time.
