Spike's Annual Mock Draft -- 2025 Version

Nice work Spike! I don't see them picking an OT that high given other more urgent needs, CB, DT and DE. I agree we can see the Bills getting more 2nd rounders given the value. I could also see Buffalo trading up in the first to get a guy they really like on the defensive side of the ball. Appreciate your insight and the time you put into this. I know you love your olinemen and for good reason.

With respect to the OL.

Dion will be 31 years old on Sunday and I find that those big men with quick feet that is necessary for the NFL LT position tend to lose it very rapidly when they start their aging decline.

I was NEVER impressed with Spencer Brown and I doubt he sees a 3rd contract from the Bills.

I can see why you chose on OT I just don't think it's a top need right now. If they do pick an OT early I would be shocked. Brown was much better this year IMO and all the ratings services has agreed. IF he regresses this year then yes I can see it. I love the draft talk!

A perennial contending team should have no immediate needs.

It should be looking down the road.

I posted this mock draft very early Saturday Morning and there has been absolutely NO discussion about the 4 players drafted.

There is some discussion of the priority of positions and the value of having numerous late round picks however nothing about the selected players themselves.

OL is NEVER a sexy draft position and the many peasants prefer to draft only WRs, CBs and similar positions however offensive line play is the key to allow our huge investment in a QB to have the time to pass and have a rushing attack that allows us to run the ball when we want to run.

I believe the WR I selected is one of the better WRs in this years draft and would be an absolute steal in the 2nd round

The CB from Notre Dame is excellent.

Finally, putting a big 1DT next to Ed Oliver has been needed now for a couple of years.
