THE 2025 OFFICIAL BUFFALO SPORTS GARDENING THREAD

That's a lot of work there spike. Nice job! Btw what's the story behind the Blockbuster sign? How did you get your hands on it? Your neighborhood reminds me of some of the neighborhoods in my area. Nice!

In 2013 I noticed that the location that had been a Blockbuster long ago had not removed their sign from the back of the building.

I contacted the Landlord and asked if I could have it.

They were nice enough to take it down for me and I arranged to pick it up.

I installed it against my red barn/shed as a reminder that arrogance that is unwilling to change/progress in the face of shifting environments results in the death of a business/organism.

Cool story... Nice reminder... Kodak here in Rochester is that reminder for me. Keep up the great work in the gardens!

IfI had more time I could do more on my yard, but I basically just let it go and pull as many weeds as I can, cut out any dead material but the thing to know here is the back fence, where the Magnolia tree, Hostas and Lily in The Vally are in winter, that is nothing but dirt/ It amazes me how each year it all flourishes!

We have David the Gnome, swift his fox is not here, for those who know you know, to his right we have German thyme, to the right behind him we have oregano, to the left, lemon balm, to the far right behind him dyers chamomile (I love it but its gone after this year it just takes up way too much territory and knows no bounds), behind that sage and yarrow and behind that various sorts of mint and irises.
