THE 2025 OFFICIAL BUFFALO SPORTS GARDENING THREAD

I just cut the grass again to 2 & 3/4" which is the 4th consecutive every 2nd day I have cut it since last Wednesday.

I had to do it to drop 25 KGs of lawn fertilizer before the 60 hours of rain that starts tomorrow morning followed by rain each and every day for the next week and a half.

My lawn is already excellent since I fertilized it in late March and have been over seeding it for a few years now however this is going to make it next level.

Yeah, WTH with all the rain and cold temps.
It’s really gonna screw up my weekend at Black Lake

That really sucks,.... You looking for something to do you have Abay and Clayton. You can take a ride to Cape Vincent light house. Just a few thoughts.

Started edging again, ugh..

btw, if anyone in the Buffalo area has boxwoods, you’re gonna lose them if you don’t spray, the whole area is infested with some moth catapillar that is destroying them. Crap, I just planted these a couple years ago..☹️. We treated them in time.

My lawn needs to be rolled. I have a 54” tractor, a 46” tractor, and a zero-turn, which is 42”. Too many elevations to get it nice anyway, unless I use the self-propelled mower, which I do on occasion when my ass is to big for my lazy-boy.

Had to buy a pick so I could get across the creek, the bridge I built 32 y.o. finally gave way to a creek that floods periodically..

Had to cut these 3 trees that fell over the winter before I could cut.
We had the ash borer beetle sweep through the area about 4/5 years ago, and killed all the ash trees. I pay to have four treated every year.

A price to be paid for a global economy, I guess.

Is your nemeis the spotted lantern fly?

The rain here has NOT stopped all day and is forecast to end on Saturday.

Once we get some sun and warmth on Sunday and Monday this place will be a jungle.

You will definitely notice the difference on the next round of photos I post.

I love this time of year.

Makes me so happy.

A tradition like no other. Some before pics!
