This is where I jump off the pope bandwagon... I respect others religion but I just don't understand. A family doesn't have to be between a man and a women. So many kids don't have a family and are in foster care. To say it takes a male and female to be a family is preposterous. What makes the pope an authority on this topic? Based on what facts does he have to support his argument? The bible? Well Vatican has kept so many religious pasages from the public. Why? IMHO anyone who considers themselves a person of God should love and get to know all kinds. If a same sex couple is willing and wanting to give a child love and bring them into their home what is wrong with that? This is why religion is losing so many people....

I'm not Catholic, so I really don't care about the pope and what he says/does. Nothing against the man, mind you.
