In this thread we will explore documentaries and shorts that fuel nightmares. Let start out with nukes. We start wtih a creepily cheery 1961 documentary about Tsar Bomba:
Next up we look at Atomic Cafe:
Now we look at Protect and Survive, the slightly overly optimistic British government backed tv shorts that fueled Threads:
Lastly is from Kansas City's ABC Afifiliate KMBC 9, reacting to The Day After. Some of the people sort of remind me of Lit, they'd be the ones saying we would survive a nucelar war. Yes, that is Larry Moore, a genuinely good man when he had lots of black hair. I was in a human interest story when i was in 4th grade and was interviewed by him. Good man, but damn, I could have gotten the day off school due to a snow day if he hadn't interviewed me and some other kids about why the school bus never showed up.
