While I support your attempt to create an adult culture where everyone has a seat at the table, it's hard to ignore people who just run around dump false propaganda in your lap and continue to do so without consequence. Some people call that trolling or spamming.
If Patti supported her positions, you'd have a better point. But she doesn't.
It's kinda like a poster at the zone who would just flood the forum with threads and only respond to himself or, if someone else, in just gibberish that just flooded the forums even more.
I came from there to get away from that.
It's your forum and so far I'm very happy with it. But we also can voice our opinions on the toxic behavior that drove some of us from there.
To be clear, though. Patti isn't the worst. She's just the worst at bombing and running with misinformation

I'm saying call each other out, tell each other how mindless or untrue or whatever their posts are but blatant personal attacks aren't gonna work.

I never understood why Trump wants to go to a political crony system of government. I don't like the fact that by and large our diplomatic corps, at the highest levels is nothing but political appointments, its why for a time we had a former porn star as ambassador to Hungary, which is kinda a big deal considering what is going on next door to it. I am sorry, I don't want political hacks running the federal civil service. I want my taxes input by lifers who are good at what they do, or at least are competent, my social security administered by lifers, same for TSA, FAA and the rest of the alphabet soup of federal bureaucrats. I don't care who they voted for, I want them to be able to competently do their jobs

She showed up at The Range in late 2022 or early 2023.
I really NEVER put it together until a few weeks ago that Irish Lass was Patti.
At The Range she was singularly focused on Covid and specifically the Covid Vax.
She went well beyond simply being an Anti-Vaxer.
She posted links and information that clearly she knew were false.
It went on and on.
I hit her hard over there calling her all sorts of names.
I don't bother ever debating with her here, there or at The Zone.
Patti is incapable of listening or learning opinions other than her own.
She lives in a bubble as a wife of a doctor and unfortunately is allowed to pass her toxic conspiracy-full view of the world to her children through home schooling.
I find it tragic that her children have been mind poisoned by their own Mother.
I only have one poster here on IGNORE and she is it.

I am literally 2 chapters in on my book and Trump winning makes sense to me. I don't like it, I don't agree with it, but Political PR Campaign companies are going to make more money off selling propaganda and disinformation than selling the truth. For US, American it started in 1990, when the American PR firm Hill & Knowlton was contracted by the Kuwait GOVERNMENT to represent 'Citizens for a FREE Kuwait' and they focused their campaign on the egregious human rights violations to gain American support .. we are now fighting back on this slow methodical fight to truly save our democracy. We just have to use these platforms in better ways, that combats against these PR firms.
You know, she's a perfect example of something that's rarely seen on these political forums. As aggravating as her stances are, go to an off-topic, like the Bills, where she has reasonably commented before, and she's just as solid and knowledgeable a fan as any of us.
And that's the primary reason why I need to soften my own approach to how I interact with these people who are my political opposites. I have a long history of being in serious attack mode with these people - on other forums but here, even though I planned on this being more "Wild West" like, as it's now my place to watch over (And my dime), I'd have to remind myself as we all should that behind the MAGA, most of these people are no different than any of us.
I might want to read that book!

DUDE I HIGHLY recommend it. This is a huge EYE opener. I am so glad that I have somehow stumbled upon it. I have to read this in doses because it is a little overwhelming but, things are starting to make sense to me.
