Went to my local Afghan Butcher this morning just looking for 3 whole beef bones for the dogs and they had fresh lamb shoulder and leg on sale.
Bought the biggest leg they had -- 9+ lbs -- and am now stewing it with 3 lbs of thick cut carrots, 1 lb of celery, 1 massive Spanish onion cut in a 1/8ths, a complete garlic bulb, various spices and liquids and eventually 2 lbs of yellow fingerling potatoes.
Smells like heaven in combo with the chicken soup I am making with 4 chicken carcass and those said beef bones (the dogs need to wait the 3 hour boil before getting them).
