WiFi equipment. Whaddaya got?

NOOOOOO!!!!!
We stopped installing these because they have such a bad track record of dropping signal, slowdowns and overall limited range. I've seen jobs where they actually made Hughesnet SLOWER.

But mostly, you have the least amount of control over them than any other router system. You cannot set up port forwarding, Wireshark, fixed DNS addresses per device, etc.
It’s only been a day, but no issues so far🤷‍♂️.
I DO have a heavy load on it, many devices, but I’ll see how it goes. My outside cams all have strong signals, and signal is good in gazebo.

I’m not even sure what those things you are talking about mean, but if I have any problems, I’ll give it to my son and get something else.
But I like ease of use, and compatibility with other devices, so I impulse bought this….

If I have issues or negative experiences with it, I’ll surely mention it.

Okay ordered the Tp-Link Deco xe70 pro single unit. Dont need mesh in my house (at least not with my Orbi RBR20. It’s WiFi 6e tri band and has a 2.5 gb Wan port.

I will fiddle with its settings since the 6 GHz band is normally set as the backhaul for multi node setups. My iPhones will use that band.

I’ll let ya all know Friday or Saturday on how it works.

Set up took 15 minutes with firmware. Speed doubled with WiFi maxing out at 610. (800s on my Mac connected via Ethernet.

I guess my iPhone grabs the 6Ghz band when I’m upstairs. If I want more speed the modem is next but speed is fine now.

Deco axe4900 (xe70 pro) 99 bucks amazon.
