Okay, don't get me wrong, there are at least 10,503* things to hate about the Enola Gay, but this one is "identity politics" laden "cancel culture" nonsense:

10501 and 10502 are the destruction of two cities that had very little military value and were by and large undefended

10503 is because the bomb wasn't nearly as responsible for Japan's capitulation as Stalin's declaration of war and invasion of Manchuria in August 1945. So many people died in a pair of bombing that probably wasn't needed, but we will leave the efficacy and ethics of that terrible decision for another thread. This though, this is nonsense

Well, I have it on good authority, a friend who is a lifer at a local office of a large federal bureaucracy, that all those with telework contracts are exempted from reporting back to the office. I keep them around hoping that when they realize their homes are going into foreclosure and their retirement is gone because of the guy they voted for I can rub their face in it

Then you're keeping them around for nothing. The last time they log on will be the time before they have that realization. Once they figure out that we were right about everything they're gone. You think any of these chud fucks has the courage to come back and express remorse? Not a chance. They're cowards. They'll run and never look back.

No, do not rub it in their face. Life happening can change someone. I was a Republican until 2003. Lots of bad shit happened to my family that year and combined with Shrub's invasion of Iraq I quit the GOP. I may not be as ideologically pure as ICR, but I did and continue to move leftward. So no, don't laugh when the shit hits the fan for him. He will need help rebuilding his life. Do so and then never let him forget it.

Right and when they don't come back because we were right and they were wrong, they get to live with us being right. And I want the us being right to be in their face everyday until they wake up and see it for themselves

I disagree with this FWIW. Rubbing their face in it is good. These people deserve to be shamed.

If they were passive supporters who are getting fucked, that'd be one thing. But the way they "engage" here (for lack of a better term) opens them up to scorn. They should feel bad about themselves because they make an active choice not merely to have bad politics but to BE bad people.
