I mean what is there to even say about this that can't be said with bullets

I mean this with all sincerity, is Trump going to turn us into some right wing authoritarian third world shit hole banana republic or are we already there?

We're on the cusp of being there. Just a modernized version of a third-world shithole that the rest of the world looks back at and feels embarrassed for us - and this is only going to get worse

So I was listening to Jimmy Dore this morning, I know we disagree about him, but in your opinion do you think the United guy was wacked by someone who was denied coverage or some competitor?

Most likely someone denied coverage, or a good samaritan who is familiar with how health insurance operates.

honestly, as someone who used to work for one of these companies I appreciate the good samaritan angle. Doing customer service for Aetna Rx Home Delivery and handling calls about insurance and claims, that was the worst six weeks of my life. It remains the worst job I have ever had. Imagine having to tell someone who fell into the donut hole that we can't give you your insulin. I just couldn't. I just couldn't do it any more. Yeah, worst job I ever had. Worse than fucking Wal-Mart. Buh gibby the pay, and there were benefits and 401k. Yeah, those were better than Wal-Mart but my soul was never killed having to mop floors or clean toilets. I would come home from Wal-Mart exhausted but I could sleep at night. Aetna? Well, kinda like a funeral but in reverse.

You go to a funeral and the days ahead are difficult but over time you slowly acclimate to the new normal and things get easier over time and in some ways things are a bit better as the days go on. Aetna? Every day was worse than the day before and I could never justify denying people medicine they needed to live just because they were unable to afford the copay. It was bad.

I never want to normalize and suggest violence..

But as the haves get more and the have nots get stuff taken away from them, all while the haves make hobbies in telling the have nots how they should love, eventually, the have nots are going to push back.

Some of the Right Wingers are asking about your whereabouts at the Zone.

They can go fuck themselves.

How are things over there? Is every thread in the Spin Zone turning into the one I'm in in Spam? Instead of saying anything of substance on any topic, it just immediately becomes "lol Trump won"?

Yup that is exactly what is happening.

I have NOT seen Lecter post there since the Election.

That's why you can't treat politics like sports. It creates a permission structure for idiots to just shout "SCOREBOARD" instead of engaging in good faith.

As much as I would like it, I don't believe there is such a working concept as GOOD FAITH in today's society.

Let's be frank, if there ever was a social contract, it has been ripped up decades ago.

That's the problem. One poster there makes it quite clear that substance is not a priority. They enjoy "triggering" left leaning posters.

To be clear, though. The poster isn't trying to simply play a game. They have some abhorrent views and are extremely angry and hatefilled.

That's exactly what I thought from the get go
