I'm Coming HOME!!!

IPA are brewed extra hoppy and bitter on purpose. To like that crap means you are probably a bitter person. I don’t know anyone that ever exclaimed “ Ah the refreshing bitterness!”

Only stupid college kids that like buying beer in expensive 4 paks drink IPAs on purpose

If they were to name an IPA after you Sukie they would name it — FLORIDA CARBON RETARD.

LOL.

I've never met an intelligent person that seeks out IPAs. So that Spiked enjoys them makes sense to me.

I doubt you personally know any intelligent person which very much makes sense to me.

The truth is that Craft IPA Drinkers are not only of above average intelligence and income earning, they also have nicknames like TRIPOD, MOOSE COCK and POLE VAULT DICK.

Craft beers are exceptional. “except” for the IPA.

“Noel… taste this.”
“Ahh. Shit man… how much hops you put in there? Bitter as shit, Kirk.’
“Slap IPA on the label, those fat low hygiene types will buy it.’

Some of the DIPA (Double IPA) and TIPA (Triple IPA) are ridiculous when it comes to the sheer volume of hops added.

I have tasted many in my travels -- Canada, Seattle, Portland, Argentina, etc. -- and even once tried a QIPA (Quadruple IPA) which was practically undrinkable.

The wife and I were one of Brad Clifford's first customers when we walked in there in 2017 during his first week after opening and he has become a friend.

Brad and I were talking about these TIPAs a few months ago and were laughing on how ridiculous they have become. He said some are just based on a dare in terms of how many hops you can add. He said that before he became a commercial brewer he experimented creating them at home in small batches but the reality is commercially they are very expensive to make which means the has to crank up the price and he doubts they would sell well.

His DIPAs are great -- ALL ROADS, DOUBLE WIDE, etc, -- but even those he does NOT make on a regular basis.

I was there yesterday (and a couple times last week) and my current go to is ARTIFICIAL PARADISE which on drink on tap and buy in 8 cans to stock my ManCave mini-fridge.

Sukie -- Did you want to take about IPAs or did I read that wrong? LOL!!!

IPAs by design were to have a wickedly high alcohol content with extra hoppiness to deaden what would be a cider like taste.

How else to get that shit to India from England. (Precrefrigeration)

His other beers look most excellent. I brewed quite a bit before giving up drink.

To me, the bitterness and the punch of 6.5% plus alcohol content makes for stumbling around. There are many many “new” beer peeps that have no idea what those initials mean and why have them when never even made in India

I would bet there are many that thought “eyepeeaye” was the actual beer name.

On the NA front, BERO is a great brand. They make an IPA which makes no sense since the whole idea is heavy alcoholic cider deadened by hops.

But wheat, Pilsner, Lager. Ales of all kinds, even a few honey beers were all excellent.

Back in the day of course.

TBH, I like anything that says Beer on it, and isn't some watered down pissy excuse for beearf with names like Budweiser, Bush, Coor, Miller, etc on it.
I've had some great IPA's, Pale Ales, Ales in general, Stouts, etc.

My GF, Denise and I are making a two-week journey to Buffalo for Memorial Day weekend, from May 18th til May 30th, with the holiday weekend at my family's lake house at Black Lake.

I'm looking at Airbnb's and there are some nice ones right in N. Buffalo within blocks of where I used to live (And wish I could afford to live now).

And I might just look into the employment opportunities there. It would be nice to just move back. I've given a third of my life, 20 years, to this shithole state and it's enough.

So if ANYONE wants to get together for dinner, drinks, fishing, whatever, I'll be there!!!
If she's never been, a half day trip to Letchworth would be cool. Plus you can ride by your old digs in Alden on the way or on the way back. Grab a burger or whatever at the Glen Iris Inn while you're there. One thing about Letchworth, it can't be duplicated and will be remembered forever. I'm sure you've been there many times but for someone who hasn't it's a real treat.

Watkins Glen is pretty much a day or overnight trip but that is another one to consider. Another one that can't be forgotten.

I thought about the Finger Lakes area on the way back from Black Lake, since we'll be coming right through there
