Acts of treason and it’s only week 2.

I can’t read this shit anymore.

Like the fact NONE OF THE REPUBLICANS WERE HONEST DURING THE WHOLE ELECTION CYCLE SPEAKS VOLUMES.

They do not want bipartisanship they want full control.

Our democracy and republic is gone.

Mr. Trump made Secretary of State Marco Rubio the acting administrator of USAID, sources said, and Rubio himself soon confirmed it to reporters traveling with him in El Salvador. ABC News earlier reported his status as chief. Rubio said he has designated his acting authority to handle day-to-day responsibilities to someone else, although he didn't say whom.

USAID oversees humanitarian, development and security programs in about 120 countries around the world. According to the nonpartisan Congressional Research Service, USAID "provides assistance to strategically important countries and countries in conflict; leads U.S. efforts to alleviate poverty, disease, and humanitarian need; and assists U.S. commercial interests by supporting developing countries' economic growth."

Foreign aid overall, of which USAID is one part, accounts for less than 1% of the federal budget.

I am no fan of USAID or NED and if they want to kill them, well good. That said, killing one or two unpopular programs is no defense for illegally using OPM data to fire federal workers.

How is USAID, which provides relief for other countries a bad thing?
its used to back regime change operations and/or meddle in the internal affairs of other countries: Russia (90s-2012) Ukraine (2005 and 2014), Venezuela, Belarus, Georgia, Ecuador etc, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Pakistan, etc. . . . I just don't like my tax dollars being spent to interfere in other countries' internal affairs especially when it undermines democracy. That doesn't make us friends, it antagonizes people and puts them into the orbits of our foes

That said. I am not against using diplomacy for good. One of the things we do incredibly well is feed people and help people rebuild after natural disasters, even in nations we have hostilities with, Iran's earthquakes in the mid 2000s. We helped Burma too. Haiti as well. Soft power is good. Soft power wins hearts and minds. If people on their own want to join us, come on over. Its the overthrowing governments and interfering in elections I don't like. I don't like when Russia did it to us in 2016 and I didn't like us doing it to them in 1995. It creates enemies. You don't want that. The world is dangerous enough as it is.

The second again is well he cut USAID and its less than 1 percent of the budget. Still it doesn't excuse his litany of other crimes, his calls for cutting social security, busting federal unions, and while he is cutting the soft power and USAID stuff, the weapons are still going to Israel and Ukraine which means that while the civilians get nothing the wars continue and so does the dying.

The third again is he is a fucking criminal.

yeah, budget cuts should only come from congress. If we are to have a democracy (before the Trump tards come over to be pedantic, a republic is a type of democracy) the congress must be the ones with the power over the purse

The things we don't like about USAID aren't being eliminated. They're just being handed over to private contractors.

The GOOD things are the ones that are being eliminated.
