No to the SSN. But I do remember the easily alterable paper drivers licenses in NY
Oh yeah, along with the fake IDs that you could buy at Spencer gifts and laminate and many stores would take them

They were plastic, by the time I got mine in 1999, but in the 80s in Missouri they were paper like and did look they could be incredibly easy to alter

I forgot the 20 second tape was needed. When I worked at Silo during its first couple of years we sold the shit out of answering machines and the boom box display was massive. We had giant bins filled with cassette tapes including metal.

We sold he first cd player (Technics) under 200 dollars… they sold in minutes. 1984

To give you an idea how good a deal this was….

“Early CD players were expensive. According to The Atlantic, during the 1983 launch, only 75 stores in the country sold CD players. They cost approximately $900”

I remember the old film projectors in Kindergarten and First Grade. There was a also a smaller slide projector.

By the nineties, they just wheeled in a 27 inch tv on a cart with a vcr. Then about 1995 or so they started using these massive laser disks. That's how we watched Voyage of the Mimi starring Ben Affleck. That was sixth grade. By 8th grade, during physical science, they had this detective unit to encourage deductive and inductive reasoning. High School? VHS attached to the channel one tvs. You can ask your kids about that one Sukie.

Oh well more memories from school days, did you guys have those desks where you lifted up the desk and had that drawer space? No? Anyone remember the old laminating machines and lithograph machines? How about those markers, the ones that smelled like fruits, chocolate, and what not?

Anyone remember Bill Cosby's Picture Pages and wanting that doodle pen he had? Remember when Bill was actually someone you'd think you could trust around your kids?

Now lets talk toys. Anyone remember Teddy Ruxpin? How about the Flagg from GI Joe? Also, what the hell was the deal with Beanie Babies and Cabbage Patch?

About TVs, remember when RCA and Zenith were high end quality stuff?

Remember Montgomery Wards Being an actual store?

How about the Sears Catalog?

Remember Showbiz Pizza before it became Chuck E Cheese or was that just a regional thing?

Okay, what about Furr's Cafeteria?

Remember when you could cigarettes out of a vending machine at almost any restaurant?

Who remembers the Bozo Show?

Hee Haw? What time was it on in your market?

Remember the El Camino?

Remember when the Jerry Lewis Telethon was the unofficial end of summer?

Crystal pepsi? No? How about Clear Coke?

Oregon Trail Day in computer lab?

Its a Kansas City exclusive memory, but every year not too far from where I live now there was Benjamin Ranch. Every year on Independence Day they had a rodeo and fireworks extravaganza. My family went every year from 1990 to 2003. Its gone now but the hot dogs and funnel cake were awesome, the rodeo was fun, and the clown jokes were soooooo dry. The fireworks display was so much fun.

Who remembers state fairs/county fairs? Missouri still has one, but its nothing like it used to be

The flood of 1993
