Remembering Things Past

Yes!! That was me!
Ha... I thought it was you but wanted to be sure. Nice looking site you have here, very streamlined. After Gregg Pastore pulled the plug on on the BBMB... once the dust had settled... a lot of folks wondered where other posters went. There was no warning, not even for mods. Glad to have stumbled upon this site... hope all is well with you and yours. You are one mystery solved...

I worked at Silo when it opened in the old Two Guys building Sheridan and NF Blvd. Stereo Advantage was our biggest competitor

Thank you. I went to The Range but it got too out of control there, totally unmoderated so a little over a year ago, I started this one and we've drawn a few people from the other local boards. Still young and growing but getting there

I grew up in Alden in the 70's. We had Party Lines
We had a party line for around 3 months in Bennington... turned out to be a big hassle so the parents went with a single standard line.

My Godparents lived on 3 Rod Rd. basically at the corner of Broadway... there was a large Wise potato chips billboard there for years. But, they didn't buy Wise back then... the Charles Chips guy used to come by once every couple of weeks or so. Same with ice cream but I don't remember the company.

Do you remember Stoldt's automotive on Broadway?

Heck yeah! There used to be and may still be a little store there that we'd buy candy from when I'd hang out with kids I knew off Two Rod Rd and that Wide Potato Chip Sign! The West Alden Kitchen was a place we went to after Church at St John's
