I don't really fuck with the whole "it goes against human nature" shtick. The entire point of humans being at the top of the animal hierarchy, such that there is one, is that we're there because of our unique ability to reason. We are capable of behaving in ways that may run counter to "human nature" but are nonetheless materially beneficial, and we are capable of communicating the rationale for why it is good for others to do so as well.

Yeah but reasoning is only an aspect of behavior. You may have noticed other aspects that seem less worthy of a rational minded being. We’re not generations away from communism; we’re species away from it.

Fortunately, we can reason because physically, we are at the bottom of the food chain when it comes to physical abilities. Lions don't wake up and complain that their backs hurt. Tigers can dodge an arrow from almost any distance just by hearing the twang of the string releasing it making reason in the animal kingdom the closest thing to a super power

I thought this was a good read, I don't agree that it is liberals that must humble pie, rather Republicans do, as they used the vulnerable aspects of capitalism to elect 43 the 1st and they just did it again.

Liberals are the ones who insist things AREN'T broken. Conservatives and fascists USE the brokenness to their advantage.

If liberals admit that the system isn't working for most Americans they have to shift the messaging of the entire party. Either they shift right and basically co-sign the fascist narrative of the GOP or they shift left and tacitly concede that the left flank of the party that they've been hostile to for the past 8 years was right all along.

You can't do that and still make the case that you deserve to be running the party instead of handing the keys to said left flank.

Unions = higher pay and better working conditions for workers. Makes it harder to increase your profits by exacerbating their exploitation, so you have to do it by raising prices. That gets consumers angry. Angry consumers ostensibly consume less.

I think it was the economy. The independents who pushed Joe Biden to 81M votes just didn’t care to vote for either. Kamala got 74M, while Trump got 76M. In 2000, Trump got approximately 74M votes, losing by 7M. While this time winning by 2M having gotten only 2M more. The public has a short memory, I suppose. That and the fact Kamala is a brown woman turned off some people.

So, what?? Tell me HOW is SoT any different from what we have now??

At the end of this 4 years, people are going to be NO better off, and this is another transfer of wealth, and the middle class will not be a part of it, and NONE of these idiots that voted for him understand what they did.

That's the POINT. The dems ALONE cannot fix this problem. America's problem is NO DIFFERENT than Boeing and Trump Enterprise. Corporate America is FILLED with FRAUD by those on TOP. And they, along with their enablers (you being one of them) have taken part of the next greatest transfer of wealth and the middle class has NO say or way to stop what is about to happen. I can only pray that we are not part of the carnage, but I know some of our kids and many others we know will be. And THAT is what the Republicans now have to OWN, along with the enablers. Turning a blind eye to this, is beyond gross. Karma is coming.
