The Hill: "Stephen A. Smith: Democratic Party would need to be ‘purged’ before he would run"

The only incident I’m aware of is when a pro Gaza heckler interrupted one of his solo shows in Sydney and Yorke’s objection wasn’t to the sentiment expressed but to the disruption of the show.

Which to be fair, I’d want the heckler to shut the fuck up too. I don’t care that it’s a cause dear to me like Palestine. I’m there for the show not some selfish prick trying to grab attention.
I find it curious that for someone as outspoken as Thom Yorke we don't have a firm grasp on where he stands on an active genocide. Don't you?

Not really because Yorke hasn’t made extensive public statements or engaged in prominent activism related to the war in Ukraine either.

In interviews he’s mentioned he knows the limitations of his cultural influence as a musician and uses his music to make statements about humanity in general.

I’m okay with that. All the noise about him being pro-genocide is silly to me but what do I know? I’ve only followed his career for 33 years.

There are a lot of people that the past 33 years would have led one to believe are anti-genocide, and yet...

A mentally retarded frog is more qualified to be President than Trump. The only thing Trump is qualified for is to lay his neck across the Guillotine.
Someday, when my Grandchildren ask me about what happened to the MAGAs, I hope the answer is unmarked graves.
Trump is OPENLY selling us out to the Oligarchy. Someone HAS to take him out.
Pardon my ICRism but he can die in a firey explosion any day now

What do you believe that accomplishes?

This is more of the same centrist bullshit that got us here, which is kind of remarkable when the previous statement in the post is so astute.

Trump is not the problem. The oligarchy he's selling us out to still exists and is no less powerful without Trump at the helm. If he's gone, we just get someone like JD Vance who has openly embraced neo-Nazis like the AfD.

Like I appreciate you co-signing the notion that the world would be better without people who think a certain way about the world, but I actually don't know if Trump himself fits the description.

I think he might be genuinely too deep in the dementia sauce to have an actual ideology.

If Stephen Miller dropped dead tomorrow that would materially benefit society. If Trump does it I think we just get people who don't need Miller in their ear to say and do the things he wants.

Proof that right wing hatred ages you terribly.

Stephen Miller: mid 30s in this photo.

Miller can die in the same fire

Miller can die in the same fire
That's not a response to what I said. You understand that, right?

I made the explicit point that if Trump dies the replacement won't need Miller in his ear. If they both die instead of just Trump that doesn't change whether or not the world is reshaped in a way that Stephen Miller would have approved of.

I didn't say it would, just like any forum user you've ever wished death on would not change anything you stand against

BTW this thread proves that I'm right that Tater and I aren't on the same side.

He wants the left to have no place in the Democratic Party (a party he openly admitted to never having voted for prior to 2016) and I understand the party needs to be run by the left if we don't want another fascist administration anytime soon.

Our agendas are diametrically opposed to each other.

So fuck off with this baby-brained "we're all on the same team!" horseshit.

I don't actually think Trump is trolling though. You see that ABC interview? He TRULY believes that Kilmar Abrego Garcia LITERALLY has M S 1 3 tattooed on his hand.
I know. He's the MOST gullible, easily led by right-wing media. He believes every lie and bases his entire presidency on those lies

How about we say no to celebrities with no qualifications for office seeking elected office. All I want is someone who has experience working in a bipartisan fashion to pass meaningful legislation that helps far more people than it hurts, who believes in a responsible foreign policy that keeps our boys out of harms way and promotes peace and democracy abroad, and who above all is well versed in the constitution and who would sacrifice his own mother to defend the rule of law. Is that really too much to ask?

yeah, he is the reason I have come to despise the internet and social media. It used to be that if someone saw something somewhere they'd research it to make sure they weren't seeing bullshit. It was something we used to expect from our elected and appointed officials, now we have a president who makes policy decisions based on doctored photos and memes made by by right wing nut jobs

This part is no longer important. Bipartisanship is a non-starter for the foreseeable future

If your instincts tell you to work with Republicans after this, I don't trust you to govern competently.
