You have variously accused people of trolling you AND ignoring, you, taking umbrage at both when neither is actually occurring. (Except in your own mind.) I've been part of the discourse a lot longer than you have been. In fact I know my views and am comfortable with them, unlike someone who used to call themselves (TheOtherParty)Chick, and now suddenly realized you don't know that much about what you don't know. (Glad you recently discovered "books" though. That's awesome!)
If it's that difficult for you to deal with opposing opinions, there is actually a message board mechanism to help you. It's called the "Ignore Feature."
Start using it instead of constantly trolling people with your own apparent insecurities.

He responded to her extensively in that thread. There's no need to respond to every (or ANY) post if someone is carrying on in a (how shall we put it, mmm, "fragile" manner). As I pointed out, she complains about being "trolled" (disagreeing with her or not responding how she likes is all it takes), and then equally gets upset at being "ignored." This particular poster is what you would call "high-maintenance." Nothing wrong with that, everyone has their own thing. My point is that forums don't need to be cleared of opposing opinions to maintain her safe space. She can use the forum features to do that herself.

I've given this some thought. I couldnt figure out why you behave the way you do.
So I had to break it down.
1. You're a troll. This is likely, however, a poster who has met you has told me, no, this is you. You genuinely believe, or at least pretend you believe these things in person. So I don't think you're a troll. Or fully a troll.
2. You're dumb and you actually believe the things you say and the things your cult leader says. But I've read your posts enough to know, no, you're not dumb. At least not low IQ. You're witty and well read. You write at a high level. So, I don't think you're dumb.
3. You're brainwashed. This one makes the most sense. So far, anyways. You repeat obvious lies and talking points, no matter how far out to sea they are. But how can someone intelligent be so brain washed? I'm sure it happens. But i just don't see it. And frankly, you've repeated some absurd things long before trump became the cults leader... Which leads me to...
4. You're a single issue, or only a couple issue voter, and the Republican party represents those few issues best. But you know the rest is bullshit that you can't defend. It's why you refuse to address those posts. It's why you deflect. Because you're smart enough to get people off track with a routine. It's easy to distract most posters. You frustrate them into silence. Which makes your participation on forums more confusing since you clearly don't want to talk about the issues and have constructive dialogue. I undeleted your posts, since ICR quoted them anyway and this is intriguing to me. The BZ stuff has always been on the fringe of my experience with you guys, and only because these names came up on the Range so often when preparing Lit's history of abusing his forum users.

In my experience, she can run wild with her views, more so at the Range than here since her posts until this week were more hit-and-runs.
I agree with the couple-issue voter, who is definitely intelligent, but this country is infested with intelligent people who ignore anything that doesn't fit into their narrow scope of political and national issues. I meet them every day here in Trumpy central Illinois. They all have the same modus operandi; ignoring facts that contradict their views.
In this case, as far as her staking her ground on Covid conspiracies, there is a fringe border where I cannot completely disagree with her.
While I feel her peer group over-exaggerates the effects of the vaccines, but there are real medical reports of more people having effects than I would like to see.
And I also stand with the Boosters being pushed to everyone instead of the people who are health-compromised to justify a massive budget for Big Pharma - whom I consider a necessary but nefarious entity everytime I see the wall of little white bags people pick up form every single Drug Store, every single day.
I don't know if all Fascists are trolls but they definitely are a problem that's getting way to much traction in this country and really, globally

While memes and gifs are fun, she is using them to mock dissenters. Trolls like Patti use them not as humor but as cyber-harassment and is inauthentic engagement.
At some point even message forums like these have to address posters like Patti if you’re going to hold people like ICR accountable to their posts.

I don't think it's fair we newcomers come in and demand someone who was already here be banned. However, it would be rad if HipKat listened to us to a degree if they are open to suggestions. Trolling IS a huge distraction and gets topics into messes.
