America is Fucked

Except that the cost of energy will continue to go up. Ameren, the power company here has had two 40% increases in the last 2 years of just electric. This winter, they expect a similar raise in the cost of natural gas.
Only increases in electricity is due to adding intermittent sources into the mix and shutting down nuclear plants and even some NG plants. That is the only reason for increases.

The government covering 70 percent of solar is unsustainable. Feed people with that money. Tesla owners can afford the 7500 as well.

You did a good job of only focusing on one thing - which you're only partially correct about.
The fact is the Cartels have been shipping drugs here the same way to the same level of drug "lords" in this country for generations and much of it doesn't even come over the southern border, it comes down through Vancouver and the Northwest border.

Bravo on your selective arguing
So you're concerned about a crisis on the southern border, and when I asked you to quantify the threat you claim it poses you linked me something about the northern border?

Bravo on your selective arguing
The other links are about people on terrorist watch lists apprehended at the border. If they're apprehended and they're on watch lists they get turned away. There's nothing in those links to discuss. It's very explicitly a non-threat.

Except for the ones who weren't caught and for above, I didn't say it all comes from the northern border, did I?

Let's recap.

You think undocumented immigrants are a problem, 60% of which are visa overstays.

You think drug cartels are a problem, a majority of whose product is smuggled by US citizens over the Canadian border.

Despite these being the main arguments you've made for there being a "crisis" you believe the solution is to stop the dirty browns from coming the other way.

You don't care about illegal immigration. You like using it as an excuse to be racist.

No, YOU think that because a majority are not a problem, then there is NO problem. That's the difference. People who live on the border would also agree that it IS a crisis when they find people on their property who are stealing, damaging, trespassing for sure and in some cases committing crimes such as burglary and assaults on the property owners

Doesn't one of your links say 3 terrorists have made it across the border successfully since 1975? Why are you trying to argue that your own sources are wrong?
Knowingly. More people cross unknowingly or not intercepted than cross legally.

"The vast majority of migrants cross into the United States at spots between official ports of entry, walking over the border or wading, swimming or floating across the Rio Grande, almost always under the watch of cartel-approved guides hired in Mexico."

"The US has reported nearly 11 million unauthorized border encounters between October 2019 and June 2024."

What I'm saying is that you claim to want a solution to this "crisis" of illegal immigration but your solution doesn't address the MAJORITY of illegal immigrants who came here legally and simply didn't leave when their visa expired. If you really wanted a solution you would focus on one that isn't just nakedly opportunist racism.

1) Seeking asylum is not illegal.

2) What the fuck do you think happens when Border Patrol encounters someone? They SEND THEM BACK. More border encounters is an indication that we DON'T have a crisis.

its funny how people are so concerned about the "illegals" crossing our borders, but no one is complaining about medical professionals that are replacing your "old school white" doctors and other medical professionals.

I need a CURRENT citation on that, tbh and also the length of time those expired visa people have been here vs the 11 million that walked across the border over the last few years, meaning, that may not be accurate any longer

Old School white Doctors in this country have bee an memory for generations

That 11 million number you're citing is for BORDER ENCOUNTERS. We didn't add 11 million new undocumented immigrants.

These 3 links tell a pretty clear picture. Visa overstays account for a tremendous percentage of undocumented immigrants and they have accounted for a tremendous percentage for a long time.

And more get in than get "encountered" at the border but you're wrong, 11 million is how many they estimate are IN the US.

The unauthorized immigrant population in the United States grew to 11.0 million in 2022, according to new Pew Research Center estimates based on the 2022 American Community Survey, the most recent year available. The increase from 10.5 million in 2021 reversed a long-term downward trend from 2007 to 2019. This is the first sustained increase in the unauthorized immigrant population since the period from 2005 to 2007.

An estimated 42% of the approximately 11 million unauthorized population living in the United States entered the country legally but overstayed their period of admission.

That's less than 50%

Yes. OVERALL. You said 11 million NEW undocumented immigrants successfully crossed the border while Biden was in office. That is very clearly not true if 11 million is the overall figure and roughly half of them are visa overstays.

That makes sense though, doesn't it? The numbers went down during the pandemic, but the need to escape poor conditions obviously didn't. So once we were in a bit of a global recovery period the figures spiked as "supply" caught up with "demand" so to speak.

7.2 Million during Biden's term

As of January 2024, more than 7.2 million migrants had illegally crossed into the U.S. over the Southwest border during U.S. President Joe Biden's administration — a number higher than the individual populations of 36 states.

Immigrants are NOT the issue, it's the lack of Immigration reform that is the issue.
