Remembering Things Past

Never saw Bozo before n WNY, we had Rocketship 7

Then When Dialing For Dollars was on we moved that antennae thingy (page 1 ) and got the Uncle Bobby Show with Bimbo the Birthday Clown.

I remember climbing ropes in gym with a old Gum teacher and 2 inch foam wall mats on the floor preventing gravity an easy win

Rope burns meant the pink Merthiolate spray that burned like hell…. Worse than the burn

Before Tom Jolls was Commander Tom, there was Dave Boreanaz, who went by Dave Thomas. And when he moved to Philly, he became Dave Roberts.

Tom Jolls was a nice man, I had a job where I dealt with him, and I always called him Commander Tom when I greated him. He always laughed and was pleasant to deal with. RIP Commander Tom.

There's still one of the old vending machines with a door that you have to open to get your drink at an Ace Hardware in midtown Kansas City. It was like a flashback to my 90s childhood. I was in the area to renew my drivers license and I needed some dyi stuff and I was pleased when I saw that machine still there soldiering on 20+ years later. It was like seeing an old friend
When I was growing up, there's a little neighborhood by a store called Port of Entry that sells or sold mostly all Wicker furniture. They had one with the door and glass bottles outside we used to hit up before we'd be off on our adventures around that area.

Just looked, it's still there. I'm gonna have to stop in next time I'm home

The Port of Entry has been closed for years, it was down the street from where I used to live. We bought so much stuff there, good memories 😊
