Alan Ritchson makes that show. He’s not a monosyllabic moron, he’s actually a thinking man underneath those muscles. His needs are few, and he’s always righteous. Even when he blows someone away. The actor himself, even though his character never strays far from a cool demeanor, is actually a good actor for the part, his facial expressions can convey different feelings, without overacting..
Season one was enticing, and season two’s storyline was uninteresting to me, but season 3 was great. Looking forward to seeing season 4!
Camera angles are everything when trying to make a larger-than-life character (he’s actually only 6’3”, even though the show portrays him as 6’5”. When he looked up at Quinn’s man Paulie ( 7’2”!), he almost looked like a little kid
