What Was The Last Movie You Watched?

This was done SO much better than I expected.

The acting was phenomenal!

The scenes that were intense were VERY intense, which is not how big budget Hollywood horror movies usually go
How does it hold up against the original?

How does it hold up against the original?
Well, totally different.
It follows the Bram Stoker's story line, but the cinematography is incredible and this is the first time I've ever seen Vlad portrayed as purely a demon with no human qualities, whereas other versions did more to try and humanize him

Honestly, for all its problems, Genisys was a stronger entry into the series than Salvation. WIsh they would have stopped after the first two, but we have one more Terminator film to view before the end of Terminator Month, and I know there was a tv series but I have no interest in watching it. However in terms of films its from best to worst:

Terminator 2: Judgement Day. Its the perfect action film
The Terminator
Rise of the Machines
Genisys
Salvation

After I see 6 I may or may not update this

Terminator: Dark Fate. It was okay, but really this franchise lasted two or even three films too long. Should have ended at the end of Salvation. You had John Conner in the future, could have so nicely sent back Kyle at the end of the film and started with the sparks flying in a Los Angeles Alley at about 130 in the morning in 1984. Would have been a nice way to end the series. Really though, and this is a personal choice. The Terminator will always be my favorite. Terminator Two was the best of the franchise, Terminator 3, the others? They're okay, but really in them the terminator was sent to the years they were made to get audiences to pay the studios money for lots of schlock as the franchise lost its way.

Total Recall, the one with Ahnuld. So many 1990s and 2000s sci fi films were influenced by it, THe Matrix, Inception, Bourne etc

He is such a BIG Mother Fucker.

I fought some guys I probably should NOT have when I was younger however I would NEVER dance with that fuckin' monster.

I definitely do NOT recommend this movie for anyone who can't handle gruesome scenes and a psychologically fucked up story

Alan Ritchson makes that show. He’s not a monosyllabic moron, he’s actually a thinking man underneath those muscles. His needs are few, and he’s always righteous. Even when he blows someone away. The actor himself, even though his character never strays far from a cool demeanor, is actually a good actor for the part, his facial expressions can convey different feelings, without overacting..

Season one was enticing, and season two’s storyline was uninteresting to me, but season 3 was great. Looking forward to seeing season 4!

Camera angles are everything when trying to make a larger-than-life character (he’s actually only 6’3”, even though the show portrays him as 6’5”. When he looked up at Quinn’s man Paulie ( 7’2”!), he almost looked like a little kid 🤣.

Great show.👍

FUN FACT

In season 3 Episode 5 -- Smackdown -- there is a scene where the 2 police peeps are in front of a restaurant.

That is 2 kms away from me...

Kinda reminds me of The General's Daughter, but if you want to see some utterly fucked up shit watch Come and See or Sobibor. Belarussian or Russian film not your thing? The Pianist, the scene where the Nazis go into the Jewish apartment and throw the old man in a wheelchair out the window, damn its just absolutely sickening

The Pianist is one of my favorite movies
I've seen Come and See - very fucked up

The most fucked up movie according to most is A Serbian Move

Apparently, much of season 3 was filmed in the Greater Hamilton Area.
Yeah, I looked it up, it was filmed pretty much in Ontario. I was interested in knowing where the mansion was located. It’s north of Toronto, they put the ocean around it post-production.
